At first I thought the simulation-theory was crazy but the more I learn about it the more I think it could be real. Thanks!
Simulation is "real" for me (is anything real?) in that society-life-planetary existence is structured just like a video game. Have you seen the movie "Mountainhead"? It gives this view nicely, the top gamers playing the players beneath them, those players playing the players underneath them, all served by NPCs, with real-time destruction of humans in all strata of the game. I really liked it!

Thanks for the film recommendation, I'll check that out! The sim-theory explains a lot—the "afterlife", similarities in psychedelic trips, "glitches" in the matrix/Mandela effect, etc.
I'm glad you're enjoying it! It's so great to be writing fiction again. It started out just as a short story and has evolved into a lot more.
