What a visceral and evocative poem. Some really strong word choices, “insatiable lust,” “battle with the world,” and “endless spirals of rejection” particularly stood out. I like the poems movement from ache to rebellion to revelation. The closing lines work especially well to offer a poignant view on wholeness.
