Once, there was a boy in a village who doesn’t sleep.
He was all cranky and grumpy, because he doesn’t sleep.
One day he meets sleep fairy, and Sleep fairy asks him to sleep. But he doesn’t sleep at all. He was fighting off his sleep each time he going to drift off.
“You take a nap little boy, so you will grow taller and bigger”. Said sleep fairy.
“I don’t want to. I don’t want to sleep at all”. Said the little boy. “I am not sleepy”.
He was all cranky and grumpy, he was chasing the cat, the hen and the mouse.
The sleep fairy asked the little boy again to go to sleep.
“Hello little boy, you need to go to sleep so you will become nicer”. Sleep fairy said.
“No no no no. I don’t want to”. Said the little boy
Sleep fairy had enough. This has to stop. He needed to go to sleep. He hadn’t sleep for ages.
So she kindly asks the Sun not to shine the next morning, and everyone in the village was so worried of sun not coming out.
The little boy is still awake, waiting for sun to shine. He waited for hours and hours, and day by day. And still the sun is still hiding.
The little boy got tired of waiting for the sun. He stops chasing the cat, the hen and the mouse.
He can’t see anything, everywhere is dark!
He sat down for a minute, and thought about the stars and the sun.
He thought about how to reach them.
As he thought about the stars and sun, he slowly drift off To sleep.
He slept for ages.
Zzzzzzzz….. Zzzzzz….
And as soon as he wakes up, out came Mister sun.
The little boy was nicer
And fresher
He completely stops chasing the cat, the hen, and the mouse.
And he was no more cranky and grumpy
And he played with his friends nicely
And that all he needed was a good sleep.
The end
This was inspired by my son who didn’t sleep for ages today. :-D
And yes the bit part of the story was true, (he was cranky and grumpy and chasing the cat for ages).
