Galactic Emperor

I asked the General for the order to attack.

The planet was beautiful. The colored gas giant of the galaxy, it was home to the Empire's #5 colony. The massive producer of hydrogen exported to the whole galaxy, it would boost the Empire's supplies tenfold if they could plant their flag here. It would indeed be a dishonor not to let our glorious armor imprint the surface with the emblem of our superior race.

And so the army of the Empire attacked this planet with the best soldiers their funding could afford them. The soldiers did not even noticed the tiny fighter jet flying beside them. You wore the armor of a ground operative, and the jet was just a slight modification of that basic design.

The General barked the order, and the bombardments began. The heavy guns opened fire, punching holes in the planet's crust, throwing the gas into the air, before the fighters and bombers followed suit. Craters formed in the surface, and the surface gave up its energy and absorbed it with its own skin, becoming thicker and thicker.

Your fighter was next, and your eyes were caught by the massive explosion that opened from the surface, reflecting out of the planet and into space. The ground shook, and the sense of danger was overwhelming. You were about to be hit by the stone-mace of the massive bombardments and crash. The Empire was winning, peaceful and unaware of your betrayal. But, you were not their enemy.

You pressed the key that activated your armor, throwing out a great deal of heat as it contracted and strengthened, covering your body with the black armor.

The pilots were awed by the explosion, not noticing that one of the Earth Federation fighters was a danger to all of them. You turned around, and accelerated towards the ground, your jets heating up from passing through the atmosphere at too great a speed. You had to do this.

The sensation as you crashed through the ground and into the planet was like hitting a bag of sand. You were leaving so fast that your ship, the ground and the planet were moving at the same pace and eventually you started speeding up.

You jumped out of your ship, gasping for breath. The pilots were not so graceful. You were sure you wouldn't have the energy needed to make it back to your ship. You were wrong. You could see the General from the window of your ship, and the pilots were lying on the ground of the launch bay, not able to follow your order to jump.

You looked out at the Colonies, constructed in a corner of the planet that was strategically placed to position its night side to cut light pollution and extend natural illumination. The planet was a large, blue marble casting a dim light over the whole globe while being illuminated by the sun itself through an enormous amount of gas surrounding it.

At night, the Colonies themselves were brighter than the gas giant behind them, and the massive structures' lights reflected on the clouds below, illuminating them with a soft glow. It was beautiful. Even for the General, it was beautiful. He didn't seem to notice the fighters breaking through the clouds burning with their afterburners, about to send the fleet to battle.

They were armed to the bone. Massive cannons, gunners and armor rounds were packed into the ships. You could see them from the tiny window of your strike fighter. That wasn't the only thing that was out there.

You could see a single fighter coming closer, the sound of its engine growing louder the closer he got, until he was right above you, only meters away. Bears are the one of the deadliest predators in the galaxy. A silent hunter, fleet of foot, and capable of doing so much damage in their strength and speed. A single bear could kill months of work in a single bite.

You waited for the pathetic pilot to notice you, and so you saw him come closer, and when he was only meters from you, you jumped. A loud explosion was heard, and the pilots above you screamed. You dove anyway, and landed on one of the blast doors that had just opened a second ago.

You crawled along the casing for a second, and then a great ray of light broke through the door and hit your neck. You could feel the stinging pain as the armor around you was pierced by the beam.

You tried to run along the side of the launching platform, but were soon forced to stop as debris came crashing down. You were trapped. And you knew it. You turned around, and saw the bear coming right at you. His great teeth were bared at you, and his claws threateningly open.

You were without any means of defending yourself, you were helpless as the bear closed in on you.

Suddenly, you felt something change in the air around you. The bear stopped, its knife-like teeth now still and its claws now closed. You looked up to see the Emperor of the Galactic Empire staring at you.

"I could not let you die here. It would be a sin not to save you from such a rude end. he said. You nodded, and felt yourself becoming lighter. The bear's grip was broken, and before you knew it you had jumped into his arms. You were now in the mighty towering beast's arms, with the great beast's claws slowly retracting, its teeth now closing.

The bear said nothing, and you could feel no threat coming from it. The Emperor told the bear that you should not die here. And so the bear carried you in his arms as you neared the space-station. You could see that he held you with utmost care.

His eyes were gentle, and his huge claws were carefully held away from you. With every second that passed, you could feel something changing inside the bear, something big. You could feel it inside the bear's mind. It wasn't supposed to happen, but it was. It has happened.

You had changed the bear. The final truncheon for evil, the Emperor's personal pet, one of the most feared predators in the galaxy, its eyes now filled with a new emotion. It was love.

And so he carried you into the space-station, the creatures of the hive people looking upon you and your host with great stupefaction. You were the first one they have ever seen. His boots continued to crunch and destroy the ground below him with every step. Soon you would be in the safety of the space-station. Soon you would be safe.

You would be safe.
