Stranger things season 2 review. No spoilers

One of the most commonly asked questions I have heard in the past few weeks, is; 'have you seen stranger things yet?' Followed by an; 'ohmigod you HAVE to watch it!'
We all loved season 1 last year. It was one of Netflix's biggest hits. It's seemed as if the whole world breathed a sigh of relief when season 2 was FINALLY released. So watch it I did. It was interesting to see all our favourite characters again, only this time a bit more grown up. Perhaps if season 2 was anything to go by, we might be experiencing the Harry potter conundrum whereby we watch all our characters move into
. Although season 1 was a huge success, most people who watched and enjoyed it seemed to be in the agreement that season 2 was an emotional rollercoaster. The mood was darker, the stakes were higher, and the relationship between characters was closer. With the arrival of season 2 a few more characters were introduced. First of all, a ragtag bunch of misfits we see briefly in episode 1 but don't get to meet properly until way into the season. I had mixed feelings for this particular group of characters as I couldn't decide whether they were pretty badass or just following the typical outcast image. (Weird haircuts, an ex soldier who's big but a softie, a crazy person and a mohawk thrown in there somewhere.) Having said all that, I still found these new characters entertaining and fun to watch, furthermore, by meeting this band of misfits, they play a crucial part in the finding out more about elevens past and her development as a character. Two new characters were also introduced. One being max, a red headed skater chick and her older brother who is intent on becoming the head of the school and who also takes out his incessant anger on max. These new characters add an interesting twist on the friendship dynamic between the boys. On one hand, dustin and luke think she is amazing and strive to win her approval. On the other hand, mike opposes her, as he feels as though max is replacing eleven.
All in all, stranger things was a very enjoyable watch. Not recommended for the faint hearted (I did find myself tearing up a couple of times). It was interesting to see the development of the characters and their relationships with one another as well. Highly recommend!IMG_20171117_160343.pngIMG_20171117_160356.pngIMG_20171117_160413.png
