I took a photograph of this Horse and Carriage that we came across when we were in Dubai recently. We were visiting my grandsons potential new nursery.
This is my entry for today's @photocontests initiated by @juliank category #streetphotography.
As many of you will will know, picking the right nursery is a very big deal indeed. As we approached the nursery entrance we came across this horse and carriage and I just photographed it.
It struck me as an interesting thing to come across in the street. It's a cute thing to have outside the nursery; for the kids to play on?
We were in a hurry so we didn't look too carefully at this object until much later when we were reviewing the photos. It was a bit surprising when we spotted the rather odd notice?

The nursery haven't thought this thing out. Kids are going to want to jump all over this thing. It may be that the nursery is just protecting itself from potential injury law suits from parents, when their kids fall off of it?
Probably not the most sensible thing to stick outside of a nursery. If it is potentially dangerous. It shouldn't have been put there in the first place?
What do you think?

It is a bit like that isn't it? They put something that looks like those little galloping horse rides you see outside supermarkets, where you stick the kid on the saddle, drop in a 20p coin and away they go. Why put something so blatantly attractive to small eyes, so very fun to look at, if it's not to be used in any way? Kids don't give two hoots about aesthetics ;-)
I remember my neighbour last year in summer. I was in the garden cutting some pine wood for a project and from the other side of the fence I could hear her say to her young children: "You can go in the paddling pool, but no splashing!" I'm just standing there, muttering under my breath: "Good luck with that!" :-D
Haha yes exactly Westley, why on earth would someone do that?
It's a wonder any of us survived our childhoods? ;)
That it is lol ;-)
That is an odd thing to put outside a children’s nursery. It’s definitely more sculpture than plaything, but it just seems like they’re setting the kids up to get into trouble.
Yep, they really didn't think this thing through properly?
Welcome to my world. I need to take a pic of the new sign the state park put up by the swings. It is soooo long of do not's its not even funny! It called CYA, Cover Your Ass...
Yep that's the bottom line these days CYA!
Health and safety is important but we can't account for the 'dumb' and 'dumbers' of this world. And there are a lot of them out there lol
They should never have put this thing out there.
Tell's us everything we need to know about the 'leaders' brain capacity of this nursery?
I'm not sure I would send my kids to a nursery that didn't understand this should be played on. :D
This is the point that struck us too. My grandson didn't join this nursery either.
Pretty dumb management of an educational establishment?
The audacity of it. That was meant to be played on:) Interactive art ... says me:)
Exactly right, what were they thinking? Obviously not thinking at all lol. Shame, those poor kids are going to be tormented every time they walk past it.
First of all it's really beautiful to watch this antique horse cart architecture and also it's really eye-catching to watch and in my opinion it's placed at right place means outside of an nursery but i really agree with you, means that notice is reflecting so odd and weird. Thanks for sharing and wishing you an great day. Stay blessed. 🙂
Thank you so much for your comment. It is very odd that they would put this obvious toy to play with and then deny the kids access. That's just nuts!?
Welcome and yes it's really weird.
that's a cute carriage. in cebu philippines, carriages are one of our mode of transportation.
That's interesting to hear.
amazing one buddy always with amazing photography.
Thanks Yassinof, it's amazing what you see when you're out and about.
