Every day, we are faced with various challenges that seem overwhelming. These challenges come in different forms, such as sickness, financial problems, or a bad day at home. Often, we allow these challenges to define us, While succumbing to the pressure of falling into overthinking and worrying.

Thinking about problems and how to solve them is natural, but overthinking can create more issues and problems for us instead of solving the current problem at hand.

Two months ago, I shared three ways to deal with difficult moment, here is the link to the blog incase you might want to check it out. And since stress is something we experience often, in this article, I'll share four additional ways to manage stress.

Four Additional ways to Manage and Cope With stress

1.Walking:

Walking is one of the things I find very therapeutic and destressing. Taking short walks can relieve stress and help us forget our problems. When you feel stressed or sad, try taking a walk around your street. Feel the breeze on your face, admire nature, observe the beautiful plants and flowers, the sunset or sunrise. Watch the behavior of small animals and appreciate their creator. Taking pictures of every little tiny detail of nature makes the walking experience even better.

2. Communication: Sometimes, all we need to feel better is a listening ear and a shoulder to lean on. Talking to trusted family members, relatives, or friends can make us feel better. Sharing feelings with someone who listens without judging or interrupting as we speak can provide relief as well.

3. Journaling: If talking about your feelings is difficult, try journaling. Talk to your journal about it all, write down what happened, how you felt, and how you might have handled a situation that stressed you or made you feel sad. Your journal won't judge you; it's a safe space to express yourself.

4. Resting and Engaging in Recreational Activities: A trip to the park or beach can make us feel better and refreshed. It doesn't have to be work all the time. It is advisable to take a moment to relax and engage in fun and social activities. And of course, rest is one important way to ease stress.

Many people work long hours without proper rest, which is detrimental to mental health, stress can affect a person's emotional and physical well-being. Resting or talking a nap is a great way of avoiding such. Resting provides the body an opportunity to relax, unwind and repair.
