I enjoy a lack of schedule and boring Sunday sometimes and wonder whether I should post a boring sublime Sunday post. Then I read some other folks posting beautiful Sunday blogs and enjoy the hell out of lifestyle posts from across the world. So, I am inspired to simply present my #SublimeSunday (inspired by @c0ff33a) and #BeautifulSunday (initiated by @ace108) and let the engagement and upvotes tell me whether or not my post is boring.
To end this week, I take a stroll around town on a beautiful autumn day in smalltown Canada.
Some of the trees are bare, others still green, and some are proudly displaying orange/yellow/red in defiance of the eventual winter take over. I find it funny that the grass is still as green as it is in the middle of summer and stays that way pretty much all winter when the snow recedes. the fallen leaves are such divine litter.
This old building is calling me this day. Revival House is not only one of the fanciest restaurants in town, it is owned by a good friend and lives in a building over a century old. Such a grand old cathedral turned trendy event venue is nice enough to visit normally, even more-so when it is for a charitable event.
Today, it is host to a silent auction for a charity I love to support. My friend John runs a charity called A Child's Smile where he raises money from local sponsors and buys toys wholesale to donate to kids who may not get a Christmas present for numerous reasons. Today, he is auctioning off some of the donations to raise more money and supportive people come out of the woodwork to support.
So many neat gifts, gift certificates and other locally sourced cool stuff to seen an potentially purchase. All in on of the best event rooms in town.
I could take pictures here for days and grabbing a nice beer here while people mill about and support a charity is sublime indeed.
They even have local talent like Jack & Bob providing classic rock entertainment. Music makes a Sunday that much more beautiful.
Next up was a little board game at a brewery with half price nachos on Sunday. That was a bit of a date so I didn't bother to take out my phone to snap pics. Live in the moment too right? That lead to a wonderful nap and then it was about time to take ghost dog to the park. This is about as still as I was able to catch him as he surely was ready for the time of his life yet again late this afternoon. So much forest to inspect and trails to run through that 90 minutes must have flown by for him.
When I don't look closely, I see bare trees and brown leafs showing signs of the oncoming winter. I love winter and the change of seasons so no worries here. When I do look a little more closely, there is intricate delicate subtle beauty everywhere it seems.
The afternoon seems to change to evening fairly quickly in November here. The southwestern sky throws up colours of the setting sun around 5pm and the leafless trees let it all through.
The sun has gone down on another slow and refreshing Sunday as the autumn settles in and promises frost again tonight. I hope you enjoyed my relaxed end to the weekend and has a #beautifulsunday all your own.
Ghost dog is right, walk off lead such a delight to go off sniffing out neighbours who may have passed through.
Charity events always fun knowing the funding is going to assist someone who has little, well done with a relaxing way to enjoy the day watching the sun going down.

I must have gotten busy and missed a visit from my friend Joan!
Yah taking fuzzyface to the off-leash park is such a great part of most of my days and that much more sublime on on a Sunday.
We used to take the dogs down daily to a local park, how very much I miss those times when they could run free. Were advised by Police around 8 years ago to be very cautious going there, now we have to travel a lot further which takes a lot of fun out of it, the other park is on leash only.
Seems like we have an opposite Sunday. My Sunday was really hectic and demanding 😔
The hectic ones are great for getting stuff done and make the sublime ones that much better!
You are right. It helps to get things done
I guess boring should means rest and relax. It's a wonderful glimpse into your life on a beautiful autumn day in Canada. Interesting visit to the charity event and your walk in the park with your dog.
The photos of the Revival House building are stunning. It looks like a beautiful and historic place.
Yes I really enjoy relaxing on these days when I can manage it. I wonder if it is boring to read but then post anyhow as I love seeing peoples everyday lives across the globe via Hive.
It is a blessing to have the owner as a close friend and the business as a client for sure. I get to hang in one of the fanciest places in town!
I love seeing how churches get repurposed. They were once buildings lovingly cared for by volunteers and to see them turned into another purpose that serves the community and being well cared for is awesome.
Sacred space without the religion. :)
I see both sides of that and have plenty of people who have an organized religion as part of an inspired and purposeful life. I was raised Roman Catholic and enjoyed that school system too but love to see these historic old buildings alive with community members for other occasions too.
This one is a wonderful charity dedicated to making children smile a little more on Christmas for the last 35+ years.
John retiring and transitioning more into a charity leader is kind of like https://Revival.house being the community entity when retiring after 100 years as a church.
Just good people no helping each other matter what.
I think we both said the same thing in different ways.
Yah. Helps me come to terms with conflicting feelings talking it out with good people.
The weather looks very good
It is really nice
I love it!
