Recently I have come across an article that was not on my radar in research, yet was very valuable in information that I felt compelled to share this historic man and what he gave the world at a time when ' common law ' was unheard of.
Looking into contract laws, sovereignty, common laws and freedom. I came across this article which discussed the Ottomans and their conquest of Constantinople and it's contribution to world history.
This short excerpt is from the article and I highlighted it specifically because of the true acts of a noble man, regardless of his faith or location.
"Again, it is the person of Sultan Mehmed the Conqueror who embodies these ideals. Compared to the devastation that had accompanied the Fourth Christian Crusader conquest of the city in 1204, his victory represented the very model of civility and humanity.126 He had offered the Byzantine emperor Constantine XI the opportunity to surrender and avoid bloodshed prior to the final battle, and contrary to the expectations of the residents of the city, he demonstrated admirable concern that they be treated humanely immediately after their defeat.127 The sultan was magnanimous toward the thousands of Byzantine subjects who took refuge in the Hagia Sophia, and thereafter he appointed a new patriarch over the Greek Orthodox community. Declaring his commitment to religious freedom, Mehmed the Conqueror thus established the foundation for what would eventually become the millet system, by which minority religious rights were protected within the Ottoman Empire.128 Consequently, public memory in Turkey recalls that not only did the city's Greek population reject a last-minute union between the Byzantine and Roman churches in return for assistance, but the monk Gennadius—soon to become the Greek patriarch—even announced that he would rather submit to the Turks than to the pope. It thus fell to the Turks to deliver a Greek population trapped in the Middle Ages and longing for freedom and enlightenment. "

Islam is being targeted by the media outlets and fringe groups of racist who are dumber then rocks, or just very wicked, evil people. Knowledge is great, factual knowledge is much better.
Before you form an opinion about something, someone, anything and want to educate about it. The best thing to do is research and study vigilantly from all available sources.

Don't be the person who tags along with the crowd, find yourself thru research and be an upright individual who basis his understanding on logic, reason and facts.
The most important thing to realize about humanity is, no two brothers think alike thus imagine one condemning entire family for acts of one individual. Anyone would know that is absurd and unjust.
Islam for some reason is not getting this logical position, for some reason Islam is to be targetted anyway shape or form and it's disgusting how corporations invest billions thru media campaigns, reporting, or other methods to vilify and demonize almost 2 billion people on the planet.
I'm spiritual individual who isn't tied to a specific religion, I know for a fact that GOOD is among us all, it's out actions that dictate which is GOOD or BAD.
ANY PERSON : CAN ONLY SPEAK AND REPRESENT THEMSELVES.
Thus, Give value when you can, plant seeds of good when you can, live life like it was created to serve " you " and you serve it.
