Summer festival "Around the World"

This summer I didn't have an opportunity to go for a holiday in warm regions, but I decided not to lose heart and found in the poster of events in the city an interesting festival "Around the World", which took place in the Hermitage Park. For 2 days the park was transformed, accommodating Europe, Asia, America, and Africa.

Each guest of the Festival had an opportunity to get a picnic on the barbecue area, where he witnessed the preparation of national dishes from different parts of the world on coals, which could be immediately tried: Moroccan tazhin, a sheep-show on a spit, Japanese wok and Caucasian shish kebabs!

In each festival continent, you can find your attraction, with which you were pleased to capture yourself, bringing home excellent photos. And, of course, every trip wants to bring a souvenir. The guests of the Festival of World Food and Travel had only to decide what is more interesting and more pleasant to take with them from this "round-the-world" - a linen napkin, a pile from the hoof of a bull or just to brace yourself a million African braids!

In the noisy streets of Rio, where it's always fun and festive, you could not only try fajitas and rosio, but also take part in the luxurious Brazilian carnival. Stray Mariachi played national melodies, masters of capoeira surprised with agility and flexibility.

Once in North America, you could eat ice-cream, a milkshake and a burger freshly prepared on coals. The King of Rock and Roll himself, the great Elvis Presley, sang for every guest of the Festival.

Europe attracted and attracted familiar tastes and smells of wonderful dishes: marmalade and handmade chocolate, coffee aroma, bruschettas, pancakes, grilled sausages, kvass, European meat delicacies. Here you could sit in the shade of the Garden of the Hermitage, listening to street musicians and watching touching mimes, playing chess, browsing through your favorite magazine "Around the World" or watching culinary master classes on the stage, learning to make incredible dishes from the simplest ingredients!

Asia, as always, has been shocked by its diversity. Temple Buddhist sculptures, yoga classes, Mehendi - intricate painting on the hand, Ayurvedic advice, belly dancing - all this was waiting for the guests of the Festival on the continent Asia. From the temptations of Asian cuisine was difficult to resist: rolls, noodles, vegetables, and shrimp, cooked in a wok, dim sum, tea from white to turquoise.

This year in Africa, guests were waiting for a tribe of African shamans. With drums and tambourines, they performed their ritual dances and rituals. The rhythm of their drums was fascinating, you could listen to them for hours. In Africa, a lot of space, you can sit on the grass and eat the spicy food of hunters and nomads.

After visiting this festival, I had a lot of positive emotions and I still had a feeling that I seemed to be on vacation.
