How Do You PREVENT Felons From Walking Into a Licensed Gun Dealer?

in #sundance8 years ago (edited)

Katie Couric produced a very misleading documentary, in which sought to make gun advocates look as clueless as George Bush. A $12 million dollar lawsuit has been filed for the edits irreversible effects, shaping voter opinion.

Washington Post -- Couric and a cameraman from Atlas Films told them [advocates] that they needed to sit in silence for 10 seconds so that the crew could calibrate the “recording equipment.” It was this passage that “Under the Gun” placed in the film instead of the actual answers supplied to the question about background checks."

Virginia Citizens Defense League President Philip Van Cleave, recorded audio of the filming session, which will serve him well as hard evidence of the manipulation.

It's alarming that such a world renown journalist, would promote a "work of fiction" as a documentary. When in actuality it's propaganda.

"There are a wide range of views expressed in the film. My intention was to provide a pause for the viewer to have a moment to consider this important question before presenting the facts on Americans’ opinions on background checks." Claims sneaky director Stephanie Soechtig.

Now, Couric runs the risk of never being taken seriously as a journalist again. But merely a glorified voice actress.
