「他球団の評価を聞いてみたい」
フリーエージェントの権利を取得したときに、日本のプロ野球選手がよく口にする言葉だ。私はいつも不思議な違和感を覚える。評価とは自分で下すものではないのだろうか？ それができるのがプロフェッショナルなのではないだろうか？ 例えば、J. Leagueの選手が移籍するときにこのような言葉を口にするだろうか？ これは親会社優先の形から変化することのできない日本のプロ野球界の意識の狭さを象徴する言葉ではないかと強く思う。それとも、日本人の感性には合っているのだろうか？
"I would like to ask the evaluation of other teams"
It is a word that Japanese professional baseball players often speak when acquiring the rights of free agents. I always get a strange incongruity. Evaluation is not something you make yourself? Is not it professional that it can do it? For example, will J. League players say such words when they are transferred? I strongly suspect that this is a symbol of the narrowness of Japan's professional baseball player's consciousness that can not change from the form of parent company priority. Or perhaps it matches Japanese sensitivity?
