Throughout the history of the cryptocurrency industry, Bitcoin remains a dominant player. Although it no longer enjoys 80% or more market share of the industrial market as at the beginning of the year, it remains the digital currency with the largest market share. Other digital currencies are growing compared to Bitcoin, such as Litecoin (LTC), Ethereum, Ripple, and more.

Here are some reasons why Litecoin proves to be a better investment than Bitcoin in the future.

  1. Like Bitcoin, But Continue to Develop
Litecoin is often compared to Bitcoin, and for good reason: both digital currencies are closely related. This currency has been heavily influenced by Bitcoin when it was developed in 2011.
Both have deflationary properties, with supply set to continue tapering (limited) up to several years into the future.
However, there is an important distinction separating the two. First, Litecoin has a lifetime cap of 84 million coins, which is four times higher than the total
amount of Bitcoin that can be mined.
This means that as demand grows, there will be a larger LTC inventory to achieve, at least initially.

  2. Generation Block Faster
Another thing that may be corrected by LTC of Bitcoin currency is related to blocking time. Litecoin has 2.5 minutes compared to 10 minutes for Bitcoin.
Practically, this means that transactions involving LTC will be confirmed four times faster than Bitcoin, according to Seeking Alpha's Melwin Phillip.
Phillip believes that LTC can be a useful exchange. medium for small transactions in particular, because the cost tends to be much lower than Bitcoin.
For investment purposes, this means users will spend less money to buy or sell LTC than BTC.
