It is beyond proven after all these years that most of the Syrians who fled their cities, towns, villages, and farmlands have sought refuge in regions under the Syrian government's control, and the lesser number, though exaggerated by multiple times by media and western officials, have fled the country.
Furthermore, most of those who sought refuge outside the country are supportive of their state headed by President Assad, how we know this? The elections back in 2014 showed Syrian refugees in Lebanon, the only country that allowed Syrians abroad to vote, in their overwhelming majority cheering for Assad.

What brought this up now, although I remember posting about this topic several times earlier, is a question I was tagged for a reply to on Quora, the wiki Q & A platform. The question put by a member there is: Why do many people think that the Syrians fled from IS and not from the Assad regime, even though Assad's victims are 40 times more than IS victims?
Obviously, the person who placed the question is somehow surprised.
If you're following my posts here over the past couple of years you'll see some of them I copy my answers on Quora into new posts here, like what I'm doing now, and I explain I do this for two reasons, one is to share the information with readers of this platform, and the other is to preserve my answers from Quora's heavy censorship, they do tend to have a pro-Zionist anti-Syrian stance. My answer to the above question on their platform also received one of their warnings and you can see they have no reason to censor it. This is what I replied there:
After years of deception and misleading, most people realized it’s about time to stop taking their information from the same media outlets that sold lies that led to horrendous wars, massacres, mayhem, and carnage, the sort of the western mainstream media that were promoting the Iraqi WMDs, the ‘Libyan leader wanting to kill his own people’, the ‘cavemen who blew up the towers across the planet who had high-level intel on when NORAD would be locked for drills, and a host of other lies that led to no good at all.
By now, many people are realizing every day that terrorist groups don’t just pop up out of the ground with heavy weapons and machine-gun mounted brand new Toyota pickup trucks wandering around the desert in convoys of hundreds of such vehicles with the most advanced satellite communication devices. People are growing up to not be fooled again, as the USAians used to say: ‘fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me.’ Which few still insist on ‘fool me continuously because I’m foolable’, kinda mentality.
An army of over 350,000 anti-Islamic Wahhabi suicide terrorists from all sides of the planet do not travel and organize themselves based on some social networking invitations for meetups that turned them into highly trained militants who would blow themselves up in the middle of markets or near schools, they don’t go online buying tens of thousands of RPGs, armed drones, hundreds of snipers of 25,000 dollars each cost, not to mention buying flight tickets and crossing several airports with heightened security measures and suddenly coming up in Syria, or even in Iraq.
If you believe any of the above is possible that would be a serious problem.
More people around the world have decided to wake up and stop believing the same liars.
