Hola amigos de Hive, un verdadero un honor estar por acá para realizar un nuevo post. He estado ausente por mis tareas de postgrado, sin embargo tengo unos cuantos días libres por lo tanto, espero recuperar el ritmo y poder leer y compartir nuevamente con ustedes.
Como es mi costumbre, deseo para ustedes salud, vida y buena vibra para todos.
Les comento, que hace unos días estuve en mi antigüo lugar de trabajo, donde fui invitado por el personal que aún labora allí, para realizar una jornada de promoción de salud y abatizar algunas viviendas.
Soy de los que piensan que a cada sitio donde vamos, dejamos una parte de nosotros, y definitivamente un pedazo de mi corazón se quedó con la comunidad del Mahomo, San Juan de los Morros, estado Guárico, Venezuela. Es por ello que al instante, respondí positivamente a la invitación y me comprometí a realizar nuevas jornadas en los próximos días, las cuales espero poder compartirles.
Así pues, para la jornada de abatización estuve presente y acá les comento un poco sobre ello.
Pero, ¿Que es la Abatización?
Es un proceso mediante el cual se aplica una sustancia química llamada "abate" a los depósitos de agua, que sirve como larvicida. De esta forma, se evita la reproducción de los mosquitos, quienes son agentes causales de muchas enfermedades como el dengue, la fiebre amarilla entre otras, que tanto daño causan a la población mundial.
Este procedimiento, es de gran relevancia en los sistemas de salud pública, ya que con este método se ha demostrado una reducción significativa de las enfermedades causadas por los mosquitos, sobretodo el Aedes Aegypti.
En el proceso, también es importante orientar a las comunidades sobre la importancia de tener los vertederos de agua ( tanques, botellas, bidones, jarras) tapados, para que de esta forma la acción preventiva sea más eficaz.
Pues bien, en la actividad realizada por mi persona y mi antigüo equipo de salud, se promovió y se dio importancia a la acción preventiva para evitar futuras enfermedades, así como también se hizo énfasis en la importancia de hervir el agua que se va a ingerir.
Actualmente, la mayoría de las comunidades de Venezuela, sufren una crisis considerable con el agua, pues no llega durante semanas o meses a las diferentes viviendas, lo que se traduce en un gran problema sanitario en nuestro país, generándose así cantidades de enfermedades.
Desde mi óptica personal, tanto entidades gubernamentales como población en general, deben luchar para que la situación se revierta, cada individuo, debe ser portavoz de la importancia que tienen las medidas higiénico-sanitarias en la salud en general.
Por mi parte, estoy comprometido con los problemas de salud que afectan a mi población, y a mi país, y aunque el trabajo parece cuesta arriba, como decía mi abuelo "granito a granito se le llena el buche a la gallina".

I tell you that a few days ago I was at my old place of work, where I was invited by the staff who still work there, to carry out a day of health promotion and knock down some homes.
I am one of those who think that every place where we go we leave a part of us, and definitely a piece of my heart stayed with the community of Mahomo, San Juan de los Morros, Guárico State, Venezuela, that is why I instantly responded positively to the invitation and I promised to carry out new conferences in the coming days, which I hope to be able to share with you.
So, I was present for the abatement day and here I tell you a little about it.
But, what is Abatement?
It is a process by which a chemical substance called "abate" is applied to the water tanks, which serves as a larvicide, thus preventing the reproduction of mosquitoes, who are the causal agents of many diseases such as dengue, fever yellow among others, which cause so much damage to the world population.

Currently, most of the communities in Venezuela suffer a considerable crisis with water, since it does not reach the different homes for weeks or months, which translates into a great sanitary problem in our country, thus generating quantities of diseases.
From my personal point of view, both government entities and the general population must fight for the situation to be reversed, each individual must be a spokesperson for the importance of hygienic-sanitary measures in health in general.
For my part, I am committed to the health problems that affect my population, and my country, and although the work seems uphill, as my grandfather used to say "granite by granite, the hen's crop is filled".
