Hola amigos de hive, espero estén disfrutando su fin de semana. Los días pasan volando, ya mañana es lunes y nos toca enfrentar la rutina, el trabajo y los quehaceres diarios. Hoy asistí a una misa al aire libre, fue un momento bonito y diferente ya que tenía mucho tiempo sin asistir a una misa de manera presencial por la pandemia. Fue un domingo reflexivo y de sanación espiritual, además estuve en uno de los sitios más bonitos de mi pueblo.
Hello hive friends, I hope you are enjoying your weekend. The days are flying by, tomorrow is Monday and we have to face the routine, work and daily chores. Today I attended an outdoor mass, it was a nice and different moment since I had a long time without attending a mass in person due to the pandemic. It was a reflective and spiritually healing Sunday, besides I was in one of the most beautiful places in my town.
El sitio donde se realizó la misa es un parque ferial enorme que tiene muchas atracciones. Principalmente tiene una cúpula y un monumento dedicado a la Virgen de la Candelaria, la cual es la patrona de nuestro pueblo y también del estado Anzoátegui. El parque ferial también tiene muchas áreas verdes, restaurantes, una cancha western para actividades de rodeo y una manga de coleo que es un deporte tradicional de Venezuela. Además de eso tiene en sus instalaciones un circo, el cual se llama "Circo hermanos Ayala" no he tenido la oportunidad de asistir pero esta en mi lista de cosas por hacer. En este parque ferial se han realizado muchos conciertos y han venido artistas como: Olga Tañon, Wisin & Yandel, Aventura, Ricardo Montaner, entre muchos otros.
The site where the mass was held is a huge fairground that has many attractions. It mainly has a dome and a monument dedicated to the Virgen de la Candelaria, which is the patron saint of our town and also of the state of Anzoátegui. The fairground also has many green areas, restaurants, a western court for rodeo activities and a coleo chute which is a traditional Venezuelan sport. There is also a circus in its facilities, called "Circo Hermanos Ayala" I have not had the opportunity to attend but it is on my list of things to do. Many concerts have been held in this fairground and artists such as: Olga Tañon, Wisin & Yandel, Aventura, Ricardo Montaner, among many others.
A pesar de que vivo muy cerca del parque ferial, a escasos 2 minutos de distancia, son muy pocas las veces que asisto. Mi mamá y yo vimos por las redes sociales que estaban realizando misas en este sitio todos los domingos a las 10:30am. Nos pareció buena idea ir, ya que nos quedaba cerca y sería un momento diferente y bonito. Decidimos irnos caminando por lo cerca que estábamos y a pesar de que llegamos temprano ya no quedaban asientos disponibles. Por suerte mi mamá pudo tener un asiento y yo presencié la misa estando de pie. A pesar de estar al aire libre el sol no nos afectó tanto, teníamos sombra y una rica brisa. Había un bonito ambiente.
Even though I live very close to the fairgrounds, just 2 minutes away, I rarely attend. My mom and I saw through social networks that they were having masses in this place every Sunday at 10:30am. We thought it was a good idea to go, since it was close to us and it would be a different and beautiful moment. We decided to walk there because of how close we were and even though we got there early there were no seats available. Luckily my mom was able to have a seat and I witnessed the mass standing. Even though we were outdoors the sun did not affect us that much, we had shade and a nice breeze. It was a nice atmosphere.
Estando allí me di cuenta que la mayoría de los asistentes eran niños y me explicaron que esos niños están en catequesis preparándose para la comunión y confirmación. La verdad habían muchos niños y todos con sus padres acompañandolos, me pareció muy bonito. Entre los asistente habían muchos conocidos y vecinos que no habíamos visto en mucho tiempo, así que fueron reencuentros muy emotivos. También vi a una prima con sus dos hijos los cuales están en catequesis y estuvimos un rato hablando y compartiendo. Otra de mis sorpresas fue que había una coral de niños y todos cantaban excelente, fue un momento muy especial.
Being there I realized that most of the attendees were children and they explained to me that these children are in catechesis preparing for communion and confirmation. The truth is that there were many children and all of them with their parents accompanying them, I found it very nice. Among the attendees there were many acquaintances and neighbors that we had not seen in a long time, so they were very emotional reunions. I also saw a cousin with her two children who are in catechesis and we spent some time talking and sharing. Another of my surprises was that there was a children's choir and they all sang excellently, it was a very special moment.
Después de la misa aprovechamos el tiempo para disfrutar de los espacios del parque ferial, respirar el aire fresco de la naturaleza y compartir un rato ameno con muchos seres queridos. Fue un domingo de paz, de tranquilidad, de optimismo y también mucha gratitud. Por un momento se me olvidaron tantos problemas y situaciones dificiles. El mensaje de la misa era muy bonito y me hizo reflexionar mucho.
After mass we took advantage of the time to enjoy the spaces of the fairgrounds, breathe the fresh air of nature and share a pleasant time with many loved ones. It was a Sunday of peace, tranquility, optimism and also a lot of gratitude. For a moment I forgot so many problems and difficult situations. The message of the mass was very beautiful and made me reflect a lot.
Antes de llegar a casa después de la misa, pasamos a casa de una tía a saludarla y hablar con ella, estuvimos compartiendo un rato y aproveche para jugar con sus dos perritas Chispa y kira. Al llegar a casa preparamos un rico almuerzo y me acosté a descansar, me puse a ver una serie y ya estoy preparándome para empezar la semana con buen pie y hacer todo lo que tengo planeado con éxito. Before arriving home after mass, we went to an aunt's house to say hello and talk to her, we spent some time together and I took the opportunity to play with her two little dogs Chispa and Kira. When we got home we prepared a delicious lunch and I went to bed to rest, I started to watch a series and I'm getting ready to start the week with a good foot and do everything I have planned successfully.
