Hi guys, I'm @roadstories from my alternative account pardostories. First of all I want to thank the @axiebuzz team for awarding me the first Axie scholarship.
This is one of my first games in the Axie world, here we are in Arena mode, or PVP. Difficulty and strategy are present in the arena. I'm still a newbie in these battles, however it reminds me a lot of Pokemon, and it's a great advantage since you can reason a little bit about the advantages and disadvantages of the different types of Axie.
One of the things I keep repeating in my mind is that Coni (the Bug type Axie) has more advantage than the plant Axie and my little bug (the purple one) which is a real water Axie eater.
To help you better understand what I am telling you about the types, I leave you this great graphic.
With these games I realize that only the experience is what will help me to learn all the different strategies, even I have learned that when you leave a game without attacking at the beginning is very good, however, you run a great risk because the Axie plant I have can suffer a lot of damage.
The second game I lost because of ignorance, or rather because I didn't memorize the advantages and disadvantages of each type, only those of my Axies. And it was the first time I had those two.
However, the third game I had already won, since I was used to the enemy using two types of water and I more or less knew how to take advantage of it.
I must say that the scholarship I received was one of the most flexible, and the "manager" is a very humble person who understands the situation that is happening regarding the Axie Infinity servers.
Even with all the server failures I have been able to do the daily quest a couple of times, and I must even say that the last quest I finished 10 minutes after they finished the last maintenance, the battles were linking fast, everything was flowing very well, until all the users came back in and it collapsed once again.

Honestly, I'm not an expert at all, my experience is limited to watch videos and doing research but as a tip that I have seen that they do a lot is not to attack fully and spend the energy in some turns (especially the first). Of course, if you see that your opponent has cards that are dedicated to drawing energy is preferable not to leave anything on almost any occasion. In this type of game energy is crucial, and know how to manage it (something like Hearthstone and mana), also if possible try to count how much your opponent spent and how much is left to know if you are at an advantage or not.
