Saludos a todos, espero estén muy bien. Hoy quiero compartirles un post relacionado con retratos realizados con lápices de grafito.
Cada rostro es diferente y el proceso para realizarlo también, últimamente había dibujado personas con cabello suelto y las líneas del cabello llegan a ser muy uniformes. En esta práctica elegí una modelo con un peinado diferente, el cabello no respeta una sola dirección y eso es muy bueno para ir mejorando el trazo.
A continuación, les comparto algunas imágenes del proceso que me llevo al resultado final del post, una lista de los materiales y con una breve explicación.

I hope you are very well. Today I want to share with you a post related to portraits made with graphite pencils.
Each face is different and the process to make it too, lately I had drawn people with loose hair and the hair lines become very uniform. In this practice I chose a model with a different hairstyle, the hair does not respect a single direction and that is very good to improve the line.
Below, I share some images of the process that led me to the final result of the post, a list of the materials and a brief explanation.

Materiales / Materials:
- Lápices de grafito / Graphite pencils, (H, HB, B y 2B)
- Borrador moldeable / Kneaded Eraser
- MonoZero
- Hoja blanca / White sheet
- Algodón / Cotton
El trazo inicial o boceto por lo general lo realizo con un lápiz HB, ya he mencionado en otro post que solamente quiero una línea de referencia, que esta sea fácil de borrar o cubrir con las capas de grafito que iré aplicado en el futuro.
The initial stroke or sketch is usually done with an HB pencil, I have already mentioned in another post that I only want a reference line, which is easy to erase or cover with the layers of graphite that I will apply in the future.
Al inicio siempre marco las sombras principales con un lápiz B y el tono medio de la piel con un lápiz H, para que estos se vean más uniformes los difumino con un algodón. Después de esto voy definiendo las sombras con un lápiz 2B y las luces con un borrador.
To start I mark the main shadows with a B pencil and the medium skin tone with an H pencil, to make them look more uniform I blend them with a cotton swab. After that I define the shadows with a 2B pencil and the highlights with an eraser.
Zonas como los labios, cejas y ojos los realizo con lápiz B y 2B. En estas zonas igual existen brillos muy marcados, esto detalles los logro con la goma moldeable, si las zonas son muy pequeñas utilizo el borrador mono zero.
Areas such as the lips, eyebrows and eyes I use B and 2B pencils. In these areas there are also very marked shines, these details are achieved with the kneaded eraser, if the areas are very small I use the mono zero eraser.
Para el cabello comienzo realizando una base con el lápiz H y voy dando volumen con lápiz B y 2B. Como en otras zonas los brillos se logran retirando el grafito con ayuda de un borrador.
For the hair I start by making a base with pencil H and give volume with pencil B and 2B. As in other areas the shines are achieved by removing the graphite with the help of an eraser.
Con el dibujo casi finalizado, corrijo las sombras con los lápices y las luces con el borrador. Este último también me ayudará a limpiar todas las machas de grafito en la hoja.
With the drawing almost finished, I correct the shadows with the pencils and the highlights with the eraser. The latter will also help me to clean all the graphite smudges on the sheet.
