It all started 10 Years ago...
I hadn't finished university yet. I was about 24. I've always been incredibly inspired by the story of tarot art. I remember myself standing in a bookstore in front of the seller, waiting to pay for my copies and I saw something like a beautiful picture behind her. That's it! I instantly got magnetized! I knew what it was and I told her to give me whatever was on that shelf... and this is how I bought my first tarot deck. Long story short, when I left the bookstore the seller was laughing with her friend but I was so stunned that I did not care at all about their bad attitude...
Sometimes it's harder than you think
Well, reality hit me - plus I had to hide my tarot decks from my mother who still believes they are the devil... so, during that time - although, I really wanted to practice tarot for a living, I thought that I could never do it full - time but I was so passionate that I was reading and practicing like crazy for about 2-3 years!
Being a professional tarot practinioner
A few years back I've managed to stay on my very own house: so I started practicing tarot professionally. Since I am an introvert, my house seemed to be the perfect place. However, I have many distant friends - clients who mostly prefer email readings, rather than face to face ones. I also have a second job as a graphic/web designer but that's a story for a different time... I have also started writing books with the nickname Mind Optimum but two of my friends liked that name for their website, so I had to change it into something more human - like. I know what you think, but I am an author and since I have started online as an author, I had to choose an alias. However, you see my public-funny-face and I am guessing that this is something very important, isn't it?
10 Years later I feel the same magnetism
Tarot has always been helping me on seriously tough times to see the world from a very different - positive perspective. I always have this feeling that my subconscious instantly responds and sometimes it responds so deep that I feel like running after performing a reading. I also feel that experience never comes to an end because every day is a wonderful source of new information and creative inspiration. So, I keep on practising because I have the mind of a professional but the heart of an amateur...

Hi leeproctor and thank you for your comment. I really appreciate it because it comes with a very interesting question too...
I'd say that if something inspires you in your life whatever that is, it creates a "calling", either is tarot, music, design, dance etc.
So, what you actually follow is what "speaks" to your heart and this is what tarot triggered in me.
At first, it spoke to my heart and after it triggered my mind.
As all forms of art (tarot is an ancient one, like all the others) it simply requires good practising, that's all!
Of course, you may need to develop your own intuition for great effectiveness but don't worry because the truth is that all people possess what we call "psychic" powers and if you put true effort and everyday practice - there are various and different ways to manage doing this - you will accomplish your "spiritual goal"!
