Happy Tarot Tuesday! Welcome to another one of my weekly tarot card readings. I started posting these free readings monthly back in late 2015, then switched to every week in early 2016. They've been by far my most popular posts, as well as being one of my favorites to put together. Today's reading is for the week of December 10th 2019.
First, I wanted to quickly mention, for those who might have missed last week's post, that for the time being I've decided to post these just after midnight (when Tuesday is still bright and shiny) instead of 8am. The main reason was because our schedule is wicked wonky at the moment, thanks to hubby being home while recovering from his shoulder surgery in October. But after the awesome reception I got last week, I was reminded that I have an international audience, so it really works out well. In fact, I'm probably going to continue to post my Tarot Tuesday on Monday night before I go to bed, even after we're back to "normal" (whatever that is... 😂 ).
Oh, and since I got some wonderful feedback to my question about possibly changing up the card photos, I think I'm going to keep them mostly the same next year. I might find another backdrop for the cards, but like they say, if it ain't broke... 😊 I did change my "stars and squiggles" text divider though - please feel free to shout out and tell me what you think!
Okay, now on to the Tarot reading. Since I do mine are a little different than some other readers on other social media (though it's definitely not my original idea - in fact, I was inspired by a couple other WordPress bloggers), here's a quick rundown on how this works...
First, pick a card you are drawn to from the photo below. If more than one speaks to you, go ahead and pick that one too. You can even pick all three!When you've decided on your card (or cards), scroll down to the bottom of the page for the photo revealing the card faces, and your message for the upcoming week.
Also, don't be worried if you don't happen to see this exactly on Tuesday. The message will be ready and waiting for you whenever you get here. 😊
I should also mention...
Now, here are the backs of the cards (and yep, it's a brand new picture every week). Take a moment to center yourself and focus. When you're ready, look at the photo and then decide which one (or ones) speaks to you. After that, scroll down to the bottom of my post for your message.
Next, to make sure you don't see the picture of the front of the cards before you've made your choice, I'm adding a graphic here as a bit of a spacer/spoiler prevention. With the Full Cold Moon in Gemini coming up on Thursday December 12th (at 12:12am EST in fact!), I thought I'd do an updated infographic for it.
And because I've decided to resize my moon infographics from Pinterest dimensions to those for Instagram (all the better to share them), I'm also added a couple of full moon rituals I created (still Pinterest sized) for extra spoiler prevention.
Finally, it's now time for the big reveal! Here are the fronts of the cards...

1. The Moon
Something mystical this way comes. You know the craziness that arrives with the full moon? You’re about to get your own personal full moon-itis. You’ll find yourself saying many times over, “What the absolute insert profanity of choice is going on?” But like a roller coaster ride (which is what your life will feel like for a short time), you have the option to squeeze your eyes shut, hang on to the handrail, and scream the whole time, or toss your arms up in the air like you just don’t care (after making sure your seat belt is fastened), hoot & holler, and enjoy the hell out of it. Your creative juices are also in high gear, so go for the gusto and make your dreams come true!
Tarot Tidbit: The Moon was last seen, just a couple months ago, in the third position on October 22nd, 2019.
2. Nine of Pentacles
Retreat from the world. You deserve a break today, so get up and get away, to ... nope, not that place. Unless, of course, you go grab a bag of Mickey D's and bring it someplace to enjoy in solitude because up next on the menu is, "Escape, with a side of pampering." It can be as fancy as a day of mani pedis and wine, or as simple as a quiet room with a great book (the chocolate and coffee go without saying). Indulge, indulge, indulge - plenty of time for reality tomorrow.
Tarot Tidbit: The Nine of Pentacles last seen, in the first position, this past summer on July 16th, 2019.
3. Strength
Believe in yourself. People have told you time and time again that you couldn't do it alone, because you weren't (strong, smart, tough) enough. Nonsense! As Glinda said to Dorothy, "You don't need to be helped any longer. You've always had the power to go back to Kansas." Okay, maybe a visit to Auntie Em and Uncle Henry's farm isn't on your wish list, but you have the courage and compassion to tame the beast of self-doubt.
Tarot Tidbit: The Strength card was last seen, in the first position,also just a couple months ago on October 15th, 2019.
