Allee is one of the most popular shopping malls in Budapest. It can be hard to find a parking spot in the mall, even though it is big, simply because it is packed with people. If you decide to eat your lunch in Allee, you will most likely wait for quite a lot of minutes in line to get your foods, and then you will have to wait even more to actually find a free table. So, maybe it is just as easy to just bring your food along and eat it on the outside of the mall instead? I would recommend this, especially if you purchase something as simple as a pizza slice in Il Treno.
The price of a pizza slice in Il Treno is 550 HUF at the moment. The price is increasing regularly, so if you visit the place in a year, it will most likely cost even more. But, you get a pizza slice of a nice size for this price, and most people will get full after eating 1 or 2 such slices.
In Il Treno, you can also find desserts that you can bring along, and you can also order pasts of different kinds if you are bored with pizza.
The price level is fair enough, lower than in a normal restaurant, but a bit more expensive than in other similar take away restaurants elsewhere. But, you have to pay for the location, considering that the Allee mall is so popular, meaning that they have to pay a lot in rent, and the way they succeed is by making the customers pay a higher price for what they eat.
I am very fond of the pizza slices and they taste good. I have also eaten Spaghetti Bolognese and Carbonara here. They are okay, but not at all as good as what I have tasted elsewhere, meaning that there are probably better places available if you want to eat other traditional Italian courses.
