It is no longer a secret that Las Lajas town in Chiriquí has now become a sort of "Little Italy" regarding food. Some of my fellow countrymen have opened their own business in this sector over the years, among which it could not certainly miss gelato! Fulvio and Michelle did it for us: besides managing the Sunset Beach Lounge, they have just started an ice cream shop where our palates are being delighted with Italian artisan gelato that is really good and worthy of the fame that precedes it all over the world.

Non è più un segreto che il paese di Las Lajas in Chiriquí sia ormai diventato una sorta di “Little Italy” della ristorazione. Alcuni miei connazionali, nel corso degli anni hanno aperto la propria attività in questo settore, fra le quali non poteva certo mancare la gelateria! Ci hanno pensato Fulvio e Michelle, i quali, oltre a gestire il Sunset Beach Lounge, da pochi giorni a questa parte deliziano i nostri palati con un gelato artigianale italiano che è veramente buono e degno della fama che lo precede nel mondo.

Located near the other premises owned by this Italian-American couple, the “gelateria” is equipped with tables in an air-conditioned space where you can freely enjoy your ice cream, always available in 19 flavors, two of which are vegan.
There are all the great classic flavors of Italian tradition, and others that have instead become part of the world of artisan gelato in more recent times, such as "Raffaello" that is the delicious combination of almonds, coconut and white chocolate. There is the "smurf ice cream" for the little ones (but also for the older ones ...), vegan pistachio (spectacular), amarena cherry and stracciatella flavours...

Situata nei pressi dell’altro locale di proprietà della coppia italo-americana, la gelateria è dotata al suo interno di tavoli in ambiente climatizzato dove poter gustare in santa pace il proprio gelato, sempre disponibile in ben 19 gusti, due dei quali su base vegana.
Ci sono proprio tutti i grandi sapori classici della tradizione italiana ed altri che invece sono entrati a far parte del mondo della gelateria artigianale in epoca più recente, come ad esempio il gusto “Raffaello”, ovvero il delizioso incontro delle mandorle, del cocco e del cioccolato bianco. C’è il “gelato puffo” per i più piccoli (ma anche per i più grandi...), c’è il gelato vegano al pistacchio (spettacolare), c’è il variegato all’amarena e la stracciatella...

SunsetCream is stylish, fresh and colorful. Their gelato is irresistible and has popular prices (one taste $ 1.75, two flavors $ 3, and three flavors $ 4). Also available the mini-cone for the price of $1.
Nothing is missing, not even music.
If you pass this way and you are a gourmand, you certainly can't give up these little pleasures of gluttony...

L’ambiente è stiloso, fresco e colorato. Il gelato è irresistibile e i prezzi popolari (un solo gusto 1,75$ due gusti 3$ e tre gusti 4$). Disponibile anche il mini-cono per i più piccini al prezzo di 1$.
Non manca proprio niente, nemmeno la musica.
Se passate di qua e siete dei ghiottoni, non potete certo rinunciare a questi piccoli piaceri di gola...
