Tau Agoras token is now widely available
For those who follow Tauchain and who want to get a stake in Agoras the team has initiated a swap mechanism. This will swap out the old Omni token in exchange for a new ERC-20 token. To access this swap mechanism you only have to deposit your AGRS from Omni onto one of the announced exchanges including (currently only Whitebit). The exchange will swap 1:1 every Omni token for an ERC-20 token.
The reason for this process is a strategic shift toward chain agnostic cross chain functionality. As the trends in the crypto community are shifting toward DeFi and cross chain functionality the AGRS token is also evolving along with that trend. It is also announced that AGRS is now on Uniswap which is a decentralized exchange accessible to all. For many months the US has been excluded from buying or selling AGRS but with the ERC-20 token available on Uniswap it is open to anyone.
Particularly important to note, Uniswap V3 is about to release as well. Uniswap V3 will increase capital efficiency dramatically, offer tons of new features, and most importantly it will run on a new scaling technique called optimistic rollups. Once Uniswap V3 is released the scale of the DeFi market will shift dramatically and liquidity for AGRS can likewise increase dramatically.

Indeed great, but Uniswap nevertheless relies on the Ethereum smart chain and its horrible fee structure, right? Will Uniswap v3 also reduce the fees?
I not intend to pay 50$ to get some AGRS tokens.
Uniwap 3 will reduce fees by mid may once L2 is implemented. L2 specifically addresses that problem via optimistic rollups.
