It does look like a lot of fun. You know you can always host your own meetup. :-D
I host 'Random Drinks' in Melbourne as another alternative to the normal meet and greet. And you could do the same.
But if you haven't already when I get up there I'll take 'Random Drinks ' on tour and that looks like a great first stop ;-)
