Embassy’s life: the good part

in #teammalaysia6 years ago (edited)

There’s a good day and a bad day working at the embassy. Today, I want to focus on about the good part 😊. Before that, i just want to emphasize that every bad day here, will always give you a valuable lesson and experience which prepare you well in the future. So no bad story here actually. 👍🏻

I worked for one of the middle east country ( i let you guess which embassy). Working there was one of the best experience I had ever done. One thing for sure, even if you study about them and their culture beforehand, trust me you will still experience culture shock. So what is the good part i get?

1. Of course making new friends 😄

Well this is the “cliche” one i know. Haha. But, its true and its great. It is your duty and obligation to make friends in this field if work. You need to survive and in need alot of cooperation from other party to fulfill your duty. A long the way you will meet up with many kind of people and some you may like while others not so much. But either way, make friends is all that matters.

2.Get to involve in many function and experience many luxuries ( NOT BRAGGING,JUST MENTIONING THE GOOD PART OK)

This one is my favourite because not every people can attend important, prestigious and diplomatic function. With all this luxurious experience, I consider this as a token of appreciation from the ambassador to me because i can go to many event like this. In one week, 3 is our minimum invitation. What kind of event? 1. Every independence day of all country that have mission in Malaysia. 2. Big function from all local and foreign University 3. All VIP seat for whatever game 4. Special treatment at the airport. 5.get to be a representative

No.3. Life experience
This is very important for me. In your life, if never once you expose yourself to the real world to see what others is out there you will never learn and improve. To get more knowledge is actually our responsibility because it teaches us to be more prepare than anyone else. Get to know the rules, the type of people, the changing economy and culture is part of the good part when working here. Its a free information that you must know everyday.

That is all for today. Now begin to my new journey. A better one.

It's great that you are taking this experience in with a humble heart. Not every citizen of Malaysia would have such an opportunity to represent their country and commune with other parts of the world.

It can be both great and stressful, but as you have mentioned, taking all the bad as valuable lesson is indeed a great way to keep moving forward.

Kudos to you and keep shining for Malaysia in every thing you do.
