New users are shooting themselves in the foot by using these self-vote bots. Like you said in your post @bitrocker2020 - the Curie project provides HUGE SUPPORT to great content, but when users self-vote through bots, they remove the option to be a part of Curie.
New users should focus on supporting other content - don't use votebots to just benefit yourself. Give to the community and you will be rewarded so much more than you can imagine.
I totally agree with you however almost 80% of steemians who comes onboard these days are lured by the potential of $$$ and has the thought that bots will help them get $$$ fast. It's only after using bots only then they realize that the value of steemit comes when they engage their own community and to come up with articles that one can be close to.
