Walking down ths street, taking the usual stroll with the breeze at the face. The sun shining. The birds chirping. It's a lovely day.

Approaching the park, beautiful sounds of children running around, shouting while playing. Parents holding their phones and cameras to snap these memorable moments as they continue with huge smiles perhaps also sharing some stories and happenings with each other. Grandparents could be seen sitting down and just enjoying as they take flashback on life and what brought them to this moment.

Staring at what could only be a wish, a ball landed at the foot. Then comes a young boy who smiled and said, "may I have the ball back please?". He wasn't scared, he wasn't petrified, he wasn't taken aback. Bending down and at eye level, we connected as the ball was passed back. Boy says, "thank you and have a good day" again with a smile.

I am a homeless person. No family. No friends. Seemingly meaningless. Everyday I get trampled upon but today, I did not. Today, a homeless man was smiled at, approach by and thanked for a small gesture.

These are moments replaying as I continue my stroll down the street.
