I think best part of Remitano is fast to cash out, as it serves purpose of middle man between coin seller n buyer. Other crypto exchange, I've not tried any yet for cash out. But I think the Bank wire fee might take a big chunk, I know coinbase got branch in spore, but never explore how much fee of withdrawal.
From sbd convert to other crypto eg ETH n litecoin, actually u r not limited to remitano,as many exchange can chg Eth to cash. Just how to strike balance of withdrawal fee, and withdrawal duration. My 2 cents.

2nd question, I dunno answer as also new . Recently seems like steem value up a lot compared steemdollar. There are limited exchange provide sgd base, normally crypto are against USD, and I personally think USD might down slightly in near future.
