RE: How to activate a dictionary in a Kindle Paperwhite without registering

There was some sort of device that I was on my 2nd purchase of the same thing because I liked it and the interface that it had with the accompanying app. Oh I remember what it was... bluetooth headphones. But with the new generation of the things, they force you to use their app to control the higher functions and then subject you to unskippable ads just to adjust the controls of a product that you paid full price for. There are a ton of people like me that have forever written off this product line in its entirety because of this. Even if the company had an "im sorry" campaign the damage is done.

The problem is they think they are being so clever and the strategy is just so wrong on all levels. There are some products I will not touch because of this.
