Google immediately surprised the look of Gmail. Internet giant from Mountain View, California, United States was planning to remodel most of Gmail and add a number of new features in it.
This Google plan is only directed to the website version of Gmail. To The Verge, they call the new look the mailbox will be more "fresh and clean" with the presence of new features like Smart Reply, hidden notifications, and offline support.
"We're working on a big update on Gmail," Google spokesman told The Verge on Wednesday (11/4).
Google does not give a leak about the new look of this Gmail, but they are predicted to design it following the design of Google Calendar in the version of the site that has been released since last year.
Google's new calendar does look cleaner and simpler. Functionally, the new Google Calendar is richer than ever with features that make it easy for users to share documents in it.
Google's big overhaul of Gmail actually they do in 2014 ago, but only applies in the mobile application version. While the website version of Gmail never changes from time to time.
The new Gmail is expected to begin to be enjoyed by business and individual customers within the next few weeks. Currently Google is still checking the compatibility between the new design with additional Chrome apps.
