This is the review for OnePlus 3T, the second smartphone launched by Chinese OnePlus this year. Although it looks (almost) identical on the outside with OnePlus 3, OnePlus 3T comes with some important pluses inside and solves some of the "problems" of the first version.
Considering all the above, you will not find a classic review, because there is no point in discussing all aspects of this new smartphone. Instead, I will focus only on parties who have received improvements.
OnePlus 3T - Price and Specifications
Before talking about the user experience,I will review the specifications of the terminal. OnePlus 3T comes in a unibody metal body and is built around a 5.5 inch display with full HD resolution. The display is good and full HD resolution can be considered an advantage, at least in terms of autonomy, but that we'll discuss a little later. Below the screen is a Snapdragon 821 chip with four cores, two 2,35Gh and two 1.6GHz. The processor is one of the major changes that we observe over the previous version. OnePlus 3T is the first smartphone with the new Qualcomm chip that reaches me in the newsroom and one (very) few terminals on the market that use it. Next to him "works" 6GB RAM and graphics processor Adreno 530.
The battery is also new. If the previous model had 3,000 mAh battery, OnePlus 3T comes with 3,400 mAh which, surprisingly, has not added anything extra when talking about the thickness or weight of the device. The CPU, the battery and the charger specifically enable very rapid loading terminal, but the details will come in the next section. The fingerprint sensor is the same and is as fast, but underwent some modifications cameras. Specifically, the front is now 16 megapixels (compared to 8 megapixel OnePlus 3), and the principal received an additional stabilization on the video and all 16 megapixels.
It should also note the color Gunmetal Grey, more pleasant than the classic silver, and storage space up to 128 GB. Related prices, it is worth noting that OnePlus 3T version with 64 GB costs 439 euros, while the version with 128GB of storage space is 479 euros and can be purchased directly from the company website
OnePlus 3T Review - Impressions
I'll start with the performance. OnePlus 3T is, undoubtedly, the fastest on Android market.
I admit, I did not test Pixel Google, but it would be unlikely to be faster, given the lower amount of RAM in Pixel. In addition, a quick test in AnTuTu has generated over 162,000 hits, positioning it above any other smartphone with Android and distance (relatively small) iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. How much does this matter? For me, not so much. The difference from March OnePlus is invisible to the average user, who is not counting frames in games and do not willingly tests endurance and strength. Long term, the decision to choose the model with Snapdragon 821 might be more inspired, given that the price difference is only 40 euros and it's always better to choose the newest product range of the company.
Autonomy. I have nothing to complain about.Compared to the first OnePlus 3, which bothered me to before I get tired of all, OnePlus 3T stand from morning to night and would have some autonomy and the beginning of the next day. The best part is the extremely fast loading, Dash Charge technology.
In 30 minutes or plugged, OnePlus reaches almost 60% battery, and charging to 100% is done in just over an hour. The bad news is that the phone will load so quickly only if you use cable and charger included in the package.
The cameras have also been improved. I will not go into detail about the front camera, the difference between 16 and 8MP will feel only those who wanted to make Selfies on a high wall. The main camera remained fast, very good at shooting during the day and more than decent pictures at night. And where is the improvement? On the video. I was dissatisfied with how OnePlus film 3, and the OnePlus 3T, the Chinese included optical stabilization. Although it does not mention the results as good as those offered by iPhone or Samsung Galaxy S7, the differences are seen over the previous model, and for those who do not plan to film "professional"clips, but want a smartphone that it may take them on vacations, the results is very good, both on the camera and on the video.
