RE: ADSactly Tech News - Does Increased Access to Technology Increase Societal Inequality?

in #technology7 years ago

If you're basing your argument on what current societal norms are then yes technology is the scourge of social interaction and is ripping apart these barriers we've created for ourselves. But if you think about it societical norms aren't written in stone by are just what the dominant generation deems as conformity and as they die out and the new generation becomes dominant these user interactions will be seen as normal while the next generation will be on to something new

I think our brains weren't ready for this level of connectivity and are still coming to terms with how to use these tools effectively which can take many years. Man didnt discover the wheel overnight, the industrial revolution didn't happen overnight and so too the technological integration and what will become almost a symbiotic relationship will take time and there will be those who are resistant to change.

Those people will be left behind unfortunately as technology improves you will see a wider and wider gap in those who have superior intelligence begin to appear.

I think the next civil rights movement won't be race or sex-based but intelligence based and we will have new societical standards set that will also need altering and improving and so we will progress
