This process is very easy for cyber criminals. Before decrying the money in these cases, all types of charity institutions should be thoroughly checked.

Cyber criminals can target you using the information provided on your social site's profile. They can steal your passwords and IDs using your personal information. To prevent such issues, the fewer possible information should be provided to the social sites. Only trusted people should have access to personal information and be careful about the privacy policy of the concerned social site.
