This is fascinating and scary at the same time. It reminds me the movie Elysium, yeah, I know it's not a really good movie, but the concept applies here. There was incredible opportunities and technology in the Elysium space station that only a few could access, including medical treatments that the poor people living on earth couldn't. Also the potential lost of jobs due to automation and robots is worrying. Finding a solution for this posible threat would be crucial in the next years. How a society can sustain the people that will be replaced with machines? Maybe the role of them within society needs to change as you said, using education to prepare them for different tasks. Maybe the nature itself of the jobs needs to change. I found that platforms like steemit, Dlive, etc., using the blockchain are already revolutionizing the way normal people can start from scratch and make some money, and that is very promising to me.
