I wonder how much those cost. This is not my field, so maybe I got my math wrong, but in 25 years, they'll have produced maybe $30,000 of electricity. Of course, that doesn't take into account inflation or changes in the price of electricity.

That is part of what I was thinking. Solar takes a long time to get a return on the investment anyway, and that is just for regular panels.
