Researchers from the University of Washington for the first time have successfully made non-invasive interfaces between the human brain to the human brain other (non-invasive human-to-human brain interface), which allows one to control the other hand through the internet.
Researcher Rajesh Rao sends brain signals to Andrea Stocco, who is at the end of the room at his university and causes Stocco's finger to move on the computer keyboard at just the right time.
This technology uses electrical records in the brain (electrical brain records) and shaped magnetic stimulation to record it, then transfer the signal to others.
Rao tries to play a simple video game by simply looking at the computer screen and with his mind without a keyboard.
When he was supposed to fire the cannon at the target, he only imagined his right hand moving, but in fact he was very careful not to actually move his hand, just as if his fingers touched the button to shoot the cannon on the keyspace bar for Firing mode or "fire".
The command that was converted into the signal was then transmitted over the internet to Stocco wearing noise-canceling earbuds and he did not see the computer screen, then he let his right index finger to move and pushed the space bar on the keyboard, firing the cannon at the right time.
quote"It was exciting but frightening to see the action and imagine that the commands of my brain were translated into concrete actions by other people's brains," Rao said.
quote"This is basically a one-way flow of information flow from my brain to someone else's brain. The next step is to have more, in a two-way conversation directly between two brains," he added.
This technology uses electrical records in the brain and is in the form of magnetic stimulation to record and transfer those signals to others.
Chantel Prat, an assistant professor of psychology at the UW Institute for Learning & Brain Sciences, and Stocco's wife and research partner who helped carry out the experiments said "There is no impossible way for our technology to be used to people who are aware or unwilling, Has participated to make it happen. "
Their research was funded in part by the Engineering Center's National Science Foundation. And research for the Neural Engineering motor-sensor at the University of Washington, funded by the National Institutes of Health, is not surprising that the US Army Research Office is interested in this.
Could it be that there will be military interests in this technology that can make an agenda ... and more worrying or evil, can control people?
The conclusion at the University of Washington states:
The results showed that information taken from one non-invasively brain by using EEG can be forwarded by another brain-invasively by using TMS to allow both people to cooperate in completing the task by transferring information directly from the brain-to-brain.
The next stage of this study will try to measure the transfer of that information by using a larger group of human subjects.
Earlier researchers at Duke University have shown brain-to-brain communication between two mice, thousands of miles apart.
Dr. Miguel Nicolelis points out that, in theory, such systems are not limited to a pair of brains, but can include brain tissue, which he names as "brain many networks" or "brains-net."
Researchers at Duke and at ELSININ are now working on an experiment by linking some cooperative animals to solve the behavior of more complex tasks.
quote"We can not even predict what kind of property comes about and will happen when animals begin to interact as part of the brains-net.
In theory, you can imagine that a combination of brains can provide a solution that the individual brain can not work on its own. As connected may even mean that one animal will combine another meaning of its' identity, "says Dr. Miguel Nicolelis.
So far the technology is only being developed by the military and University projects. A similar device that can only read brain signals for video games and computer controls is readily available.
Does it seem like a good idea to connect the brains of mice, the human brain and the brain of other beings, to create a super-computer?
If that happens and is widely accepted in the future, whoever can be responsible for the technology that can control them to use in some way, without them knowing it.
For example, if Coca-Cola is invested in the technology used to play video games then you might want some Coca-Cola cans, or maybe you'll start warming up for a presidential candidate, shortly before the election.
How do we know that someday this technology will not be abused and if that happens too, how do we know about it?

Brain to brain communication will bridge the gap with telepathy, which scientists claim is not real.
