White hat SEO Simply white hat SEO is technique to follow the rules of search engines.
Black hat SEO Totally opposite of white hat SEO to improve the search engine results in ways that are forbidden like keyword stuffing,hidden text and links,irreverent backlinks,Cloaking,Duplicate Content,Social networking spam etc
Grey hat SEO The combination of white hat SEO and black hat SEO but aren't likely to get your site banned from search engines but a search engine penality could result.
Note: By doing Black hat SEO your website will be banned by search engine if they caught you while as a result of doing Grey hat SEO your website will be disappear form search engine for six months.So its highly recommended that apply white hat SEO techniques to get better search engine results.
How Search Engine Works?

- Crawling Process of fetching web pages linked to a website through Software called a crawler or a spider.
- Indexing Process of creating index for all the fetched web pages and keeping them into a database from where it can later be retrieved.
- Processing Whenever a search request comes,the search engine processes it.
- Calculating Relevancy More than one page contains the search string, so the search engine starts calculating the relevancy of each of the pages in its index to the search string.
- Retrieving Results The last step in search engine activities is retrieving the best matched results and displaying them in the browser.
