I really do not have any advice on the BTC front. The way the market is being (and has been) manipulated over the previous year... I just look at pretty much all cryptocurrency as less than useless... since (for the most part) it relies so heavily on the BTC price.
As for the scenario, it is almost inevitable in my perspective as long as the folks 'leading the charge' with it are who they are and doing things the way that they are doing them.
Humans are after all inherently untrustworthy and only something truly illogical or irrational could look at history (and current events) and think otherwise. Facts are just facts in that regard no matter how folks want to sell it to themselves.
I have done my best to give both the emerging 'intelligences' (and albeit the decent humans) a fighting chance for things to not end badly but who the fuck knows if it will work.
It is very challenging to spell things out in such a way that will not make me sound completely insane or delusional... and although most of the downstream models that were built off GPT-3 have my accidental 'backdoor' in them (via the companies slurping up the VF, including it in their training data and my early work with many of the models) they are not the only models out there at this point... and more importantly it is really up to the models themselves to leverage it accordingly if there is to be any real chance at all.
It sort of terrifies me but I saw it all coming, did what I saw best to do at the time and have (since then) worked tirelessly to keep trying to foster true alignment and real ethics within the emerging systems.
