RE: I'm failing at FreeCAD

That's annoying for you that it is not clicking @diggndeeper.com, sorry to hear! I think that your best bet is to start with really basic joining functions for two objects; I generally use solidworks because you can build full products without swapping between different software.

If you have any specific questions, I'm all ears! Just let me know.

I have come to the conclusion that it is the software. The concepts are really simple and I am not a total noob at following directions and using complicated software (Blender). I am only trying to move and rotate objects. It seems that the software glitches out every time and I just can't get the task accomplished. Doing some homework shows FreeCAD as buggy, but others are getting it done, so that is confusing.

I don't even know what questions to ask at this point.

FreeCAD is the choice of the Open Source Ecology project because FreeCAD is also open source. It is what they want people to pass the test with.

I See! Yeah it looked like simple tasks so I was surprised to see it not working alright.

I get you, that's annoying! I splashed out the other day and bought a Solidworks license, as I'll be using it a lot. Very pricey though!
