I'm sure we all have a few technical issues with Facebook from time to time. Usually these glitches can be fixed by updating the app, force closing, uninstalling or something of the sort.
Recently my husband has been having many issues with his account, and NOTHING seems to be fixing it.
The problems he is experiencing are things like not receiving notifications, not being able to post in groups, or see comments on any previous post's he's made, unable to upload photos, or see his friends list. So basically the only thing he can do is look at his feed, but not read any comments.
He's tried the things mentioned above, as well as logging out on all devices and logging back in, changing settings on all devices, etc. He even deactivated his profile for 24 hours. When he tries to go to help pages etc it comes up with the "off-line" page. Nothing is working and it's been 2 weeks now.
He has had a warning from Facebook in the past, and is in some 'conroversial' groups like alternative health cures, black salve, anti-vax etc. But is this something that Facebook monitors would do? I have no other explanation for what is going on!
Can anyone offer any suggestions, please. Have you had anything similar happen? And how did you fix it?
Not really sure but perhaps you could see if he can log into an alternate account on his computer and see if that works? Like let him log into your account if you have one or he could make a new account just to see if it's somehow his computer, which would be weird.. Or if it's his account. If he can user other accounts just fine, that will tell you it's something wrong with his specific account.
Then if that's the case.. I guess you either try to look through your settings and see if things have been shut off or disabled, and then perhaps try to contact Facebook, which I'm not sure how difficult that is.. But you could also try googling the problem and seeing if you can find similar experiences with others on there. That might help! Good luck!
Thank you for your reply. Yes, he's logged into my account using our home pc, which works fine. We can see the help pages from my account, but nothing at all in his. We've also googled but no help. It's like Facebook has blocked him from everything, apart from his feed...very strange.
