PIVX Panthers is a competitive VEX EDR Robotics Team located in Barrie, Ontario, Canada competing in VEX competitions.

In these VEX Competitions, presented by the Robotics Education & Competition Foundation, teams of students are tasked with designing and building a robot to play against other teams from around the world. They do so in a game-based engineering challenges. Classroom STEM concepts are put to the test on the playing field where students learn lifelong skills in teamwork, leadership, communications and more. Tournaments are held year-round at the regional, state, and national levels. Pretty cool right?

Thats really cool. I always wanted to participate in such a contest, but never had the chance.
What kind of challenges do they need to do? And are te teams facing each others directly?

VEX Robotics Competition In the Zone is played on a 12’x12’ square field. Two alliances – one “red” and one “blue” – composed of two teams each, compete in matches consisting of a fifteen second autonomous period followed by one minute and forty-five seconds of driver-controlled play.
