Choose a China PCB Manufacturer
It is by no means an attempt to provide a comprehensive PCB (printed circuit board) list of the houses that you might want to use for a very low-quantity order that your information is readily available via Google. In short, I want to offer some suggestions based on my knowledge and experience. I'm not going to comment on the quality of the Printed Circuit boards produced by a given manufacturer because I've never in my life received a PCB (printed circuit board) that I would describe as poorly PCB manufactured (I don't know if this is because I am so lucky or because I have a knack for identifying the houses that are serious about PCB quality). I think it is safe to assume that all of the following fab houses will deliver a fully functional PCB (printed circuit board).
China PCB quality
Quality is a crucial issue when selecting the right PCB (printed circuit board) manufacturer. The word China PCB quality can mean a variety of different things, and in itself, it is not defined and possibly a little abstract as well.
However, China PCB quality essentially means that the circuit board comes in as required and to draw - no errors
China PCB quality can mean a variety of different aspects:
- Circuit Board to the right dimensions
- All holes drilled and accurately positioned as well
- Passes bare circuit board test
- Minimum circuit board warping (although some of this can be due to circuit board design)
- . . . and many other issues.
The China PCB quality should be consistently high, and not fall away after the main orders have been successfully secured as well.
As mistakes can endanger the PCB (printed circuit board) assembly or equipment manufacturer's business, ensuring that the high quality of the chosen supplier is critical. However, it may be possible to ask other, non-competing companies who may use them about the on-going PCB Design quality.
China PCB Manufacturer Cost
PCB is a factor of significant importance. Reducing costs is part of making a PCB product successful. However, care must be taken to ensure the price is not too low as well.
The very lowest cost is a significant factor in any decision, so but it has been said, the joy of low price forgotten long before the grief of inferior quality has overcome.
Balancing cost and PCB quality is necessary to achieve the lowest price but for the required hardware product.
Ability to meet requirements
The first question to ask is whether the PCB (printed circuit board) manufacturer can work to the required specifications. In essence, can they accept the files on the formats they will be provided with the (usually this should not be a problem as sizes are generally standard), and also produce a circuit board of the required specification: number of layers, type of PCB (printed circuit board) material; tolerances; specific requests & etc.
