RE: Privacy Is Sacrosanct. FELLOW NERDS OF STEEMIT: Are there alternatives to Purism PC builds? Let's discuss!

I would like to know how secure my linux laptop is. I'm using an ubuntu based mash of different flavors. I can't remember what it started as. I think it began as lubuntu then added some different desktop flavors depending on what I'm doing. Mainly I thought that ripping dvds didn't need a heavy gui running in backround. I feel there are many problems with the government that I live under. Some much in taxes, forced into healthcare, and the list could go on of so much I feel forced into that has no harm to others if I had the "choice" to just not participate.

Do you have two computers? If so, give something like Kali a whirl. Load it up on a spare PC on your local network and try to follow some basic pen-testing guides. You'll probably have fun with it and learn a lot.
