What is ddos attack?
Distributed denial of service attack, if any website is attacked by ddos then the website will shut down or get jammed, if we try to visit the website it won’t be possible and there service will be denied, by now it must be clear that ddos attack is done to pull down a website, and this will definitely be done by hackers or team of hackers, sometimes it can be done by single person.
These hackers won’t be alone, they will have their own group called botnet, don’t be shocked, even you might in the botnet group if your laptop, computer, router or any other devices which run on internet are available at your home, they do this by sending a malware to your system, through email links, or malicious software, by this the hacker will get remote access of your computer, and will use it for his benefits to launch a ddos attack. We got to know what is a ddos .
How does it happen?
Servers have a capacity of handling only certain amount of traffic, what if the traffic increases and overloads and jams it, by bombarding the server with different types of data (garbage), the website will crash and it’s called as ddos attack.
Botnet is also available in dark web, just pay a small fee through bitcoins and you can use the botnet to crash a website, but many multination companies are coming with solution for such ddos attacks, some have proved successful other have not.
