Past Pew Research has shown that around a quarter of US adults under 30 were getting their news from TikTok regularly, it also looks like there are tens of millions of Americans who have been using it regularly.
Getting news from TikTok? Interesting trend. I am not using TikTok, but all I see in my environment (in Hungary) is that mostly young children (and sometimes even older people) using TikTok to upload stupid, funny videos to this platform. Jokes, memes, etc. They use it for some kind of entertainment. And many young children have some kind of smartphone dependency. Of course both of these things should be the responsibility of the parents of the children. Not the government.
