The upcoming Resident Evil 2 remake is receiving an official Lexington typewriter USB keyboard with the Japanese Premium Edition of the game, and it will only set you back about $900 US.

This Lexington vintage typewriter is bluetooth enabled, comes with a charging cable, reportedly has an active battery life of up to seven days, and is compatible with Windows computers and MacOS, as well as iOS a Android devices. The keyboard apparently cannot be used with the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game.

Interestingly, the typewriter design tries to keep things as traditional as possible, with the return bar acting as an additional enter key, and the paper feeder acting as a scrolling tool and volume knob.

The Resident Evil 2 Premium Edition is available on Capcom's Japanese website, and it also includes a statue of Leon Kennedy, four "ink ribbons" that are really just decorated rolls of masking tape, a Raccoon Police Station poster, an official art book and soundtrack CD, a DLC voucher, a copy of the game and a chest to hold it all.

For those who don't want to go all out on this Premium Edition, Capcom also offers a Collector's Edition, which contains almost everything the Premium Edition does without the keyboard. The keyboard itself is available on its own and costs about $680 USD.

It appears that these limited editions are Japanese only, as Capcom's American website does not show the keyboard for pre-order. However, the keyboard-less Collector's Edition has already been announced for non-Japanese territories at $200 US during SDCC 2018.

Resident Evil 2 is also getting an official board game, and Capcom will reportedly explore other remakes following the game's release. Resident Evil 2 is coming to the PC, Xbox One and PS4 on January 25, 2019.
