Incase you've never heard of it, there is another blockchain known as the telos blockchain with a telos4africa subsidiary focused on africans with the aim of equipping and empowering all african youths through introductionnof blockchain technology and different career opportunities on blockchain technology.
With this in view, telos4africa has come up with different inititiatives as a roadmap to the realisation of their core mandate. The various initiatives includes but not limited to meetup, music, charity, social media campaigns, graphic designs etc. Seems like a lot of work yeah but not when the telos4africa has a formidable team that is able and willing to carry on the call to duty of the telos blockchain.
Social media campaigns and graphic designs:
We all know the power of social media as a strong tool of communication and publicity. What better way to tell Africa and indeed the world about telos if not through the various social media where different people converge to share information. This is why the telos4africa started with organising various writing awareness campaign on different social media as a competition geared towards achieving the aim of spreading the word about telos. Graphics designs were not left out as skills were put to test as a form of campaign and awareness of the various telos4africa events
Weekly activities:
the telos4africa understands that the only way to keep the word "telos" entrenched in our hearts is by keeping us busy with everything telos every week. This is why they came up with a weekly timetable where people are allowed to rub minds on different subjects ranging from music to movies to sports and of cos block chain. Different tasks are set for each week with a fixed amount of tlos as a motivating factor. These tasks are diverse as we have participate in writing, in poetry, in designs, in meme contest etc. Every Wednesday, seasoned crypto enthusiasts are brought to the house to lecture us on different aspects of blockchain technology. Last week Wednesday was an interesting one as Sunday completely broke down the definition of blockchain and scalability so that even a lay man can understand it.
Meetup:
as their logo says "let's meet to network and earn tlos", telos4africa has organised and have been part of various meetup. The first ever meetup was on the 14th December, 2019 where the aims, visions, core mandate of tekos4africa was made known to the attendees. Lots of prizes were won and of cos it was interesting meeting people that are on the same block chain as you. On the 1st of February, Destiny Marshall represented the telos4africa network at the aeternity meetup held in Uniben, Benin city. On the 8th February, 2020, he was also at the Decred crypto hangout where he spoke about learning about career opportunities in blockchain industry. The recently concluded EOSinvasion on the 15th February, 2020 had some members of telos4africa network present.
Charity:
There is love in telos and there is love in sharing. This is the believe of telos4africa network as they marched down to an orphanage home in Bodija, Ibadan on the 21st December, 2019 with a makeachildsmile team of doctors and medical students. It was all entertaining and educating as the children were taught physical health and oral hygiene. Lots of food items and toiletries were also distributed to the children who were all smiles throughout the program. Indeed making someone else is the best way to wear a smile yourself.
