This is my entry into the Explorer’s Golden Hour Photo Challenge hosted by @theexplorer.

I took this photo last summer with an iPhone6.

One of my FAVORITE things to do when the weather warms up is to walk along the waterfront of my little coastal town. The view is ever changing and always stunning. Our location is unique since the sun sets here over salt water and the mountains.

This photo looks west over the Edmonds Marina and Puget Sound towards the Olympic Peninsula. The peninsula is home to Olympic National Park. This park is comprised of coastal beaches, the Olympic Mountain range and a temperate rain forest.

A series of forest fires last summer brought out the beautiful purple/pink color pictured in the sunset. 🌅

The coast is good. I am not sure I could live away from water for too long, but snow castles and the Canadian Rockies are good too. ☺️ Happy Saturday.
