PART I
Searching on web after some info regarding working to a website, i come across an ASCII generator. Only google knows how i reached that one ;-)
Then the fun became real.
But i remembered the old time text generators which made some waves especially in the forums community. But not only there. Some funny websites chose at that time to put some ASCII text effects in their pages where funny things happened.
As so many things goes retro this days, meaning young people use lot of old things with minor tweaks to look "cool" but old fashion style, i thought i can make a small post with this things.
You may choose to make your signature simple with this one.
So, i stopped my work and got nostalgic playing with that one. After some tweeks i got my first results.
1. FIRST WEBSITE / TOOL
First website that i found is pretty simple and have a very useful option. To show all at once. Just scroll down and see your text with all the fonts available:
It also have some useful code with adding some programming languages comments or even echoing the output.
That means you could use on some php files with proper syntax without writing anything else to this part.
That was the cover image before a bit of editing so you can see how you can play around:
TIPS
- You have options to copy text at one click (also in the all fonts list, you can choose the font to continue with other text)
- You can replace spaces with any character you want. Instead of plain black text on white background you can make them surrounded by same character. Unfortunately you can't leave font blank inside, it will fill that space too with the character.
- Font size - You can't change it in this one

Here are not so many that fit well, but you can know only after testing it. It will look different depending on different computers or gadgets.
You can make a snapshot and use it as a small picture if you want to look the same on all places.

You just need to pay attention how it looks in your final context and try to adjust it to look as clear as it can.
ADVICE!:
Don't exaggerate with this type of content. It may hurt the eye and move away the reader.
I make this post because of the nostalgia but also it will may help for some of you to differentiate from other content. But with simple use.
Hmm... that old moments with BIT world. Bit games, Bit sounds, bit everything... ;-) nice moments and feelings we got then.

I think i will make at least one post after that to continue the small tutorial (if it can be named like that) because were a lot of results and want to try them more, to see which one are easier to use.

Remember, you have the following options there:
- More Opts - this is the one you'll use for adding comments or characters for replacing space
- Test All - to test all fonts with the word you placed in text box
- You can play with Character width and height but is not much difference. For some fonts it overlaps the letters.

I grew up in a strange place called the 70's. We had computers there, too. And we had ascii art. That was the only kind of computer art there was. You'd put in 132 column green bar paper - backwards - into the line printer, and run a program that no one knew who stole from where. And you'd get a an ascii picture of a naked woman sitting on a stool. As high-school freshmen we thought we were on the top of the world with that.
Hahahaa... yep.
Things like that, meaning bit images, games and music was the start for today technology.
And for us being the first we saw, they were more than special. And we appreciated more than nowadays kids who complain about all the bugs and have more than they need in their hands.
But is not their fault. It is the world they were born and for them i don't think can be anything new now. Except for bitcoin and maybe the possible unforgiving solar storm. The last if will come, then the stone age will be back ;-)
Damn, nice memories man. And when we saw things like that we were nagged by the elders that is not beautiful to do that... hahaha...

I haven't been present neither on steemit or discord.
I worked hard at some projects and one website and i'm so tired. I just barely could get out to take some air and then back to work and sleep... at 4-5 in the morning.
