Meditation Hall at Wat Pathum Wanaram

Last November I had the pleasure of visiting Bangkok, Thailand for the fourth annual @steemfest extravaganza. After a day of conferences, we took a group trip to the Buddhist temple grounds of Wat Pathum Wanaram. We had the time to meditate in a meditation hall and walk through the epic temple buildings.

Wat Pathum Wanaram was located in the midst of commercial chaos. It's situated between two massive shopping malls, the Siam Paragon and CentralWorld, and it's across the street from Siam Square. Despite it's location in the middle of a bustling city, the Wat Pathum Wanaram is a perfect place to unwind. Here's a photo of the meditation hall. I stayed here for about 20 minutes. It was an awesome experience. If you look closely, you can see @wandereronwheels up front.

I've never been too many temples in Thailand, but they are certainly more ornate than the ones in Cambodia. I guess Thailand has a bigger budget for these things.
